The upcoming January 2026 solicitations for Invader Comics include a new four-issue mini-series, The Digger #1, created by writer T.S. Luther and artist/cover-artist Sam Gudilin. Bleeding Cool News
The story is set in 1930s Veracruz, Mexico: hidden Olmec ruins lie along the Gulf Coast, and guides regularly lead scholars into the region — but there’s one name whispered in fear, “El Excavador,” for whom no guide ever returns. Bleeding Cool News
The main character, “The Boy,” needs money to help his sick grandmother and sees the American tourist (referred to as “The American in the hat”) as his ticket.
